Pat Montgomery is a trailblazer and long-time advocate for home education. In the 1980s, she filed a lawsuit on behalf of Clonlara School and home-educating families against the Michigan State Board of Education. This case reached the Michigan Supreme Court, where the eventual decision was a coup for homeschooling families across the country.
